Dover High posted a 52-42 win over Smyrna in Henlopen Conference Northern Division girls’ basketball on Thursday night to snap a three-game losing streak.

The Senators (4-2 North, 5-4 overall) outscored the Eagles by a combined 30-16 in the second and third quarters to take control.

Pashence Harris tallied 15 points for Dover with Reeva Jackson scoring 10.

Jayla Smith scored a team-high 16 points for the Eagles, who had a three-game winning streak stopped.

Caesar Rodney 64, Polytech 49: Zoe Scott netted 20 points to spark the Riders to the Henlopen North victory.

The win was the fourth in a row for the Riders (9-3 overall), who also got 11 points apiece from Alissa Haith and Jordan Moseley as well as 10 points from Brionna Brooks.

CR opened up a 37-17 halftime lead over the Panthers, who got a team-high 16 points from Tamia Mathias and 10 points from Kyra Black.

St. Thomas More 51, Christiana 39: Trailing by five at halftime, the Ravens outscored the Vikings 33-16 in the second half to win their seventh game in a row.

Amaja Mack (15 points), Sasha Marvel (13) and Sarah Pool (11) all finished in double figures. Marvel and Mack hit three three-pointers apiece.

Sussex Central 39, Cape Henlopen 36: Emily Truitt (12 points) and Lamesha Walker (10) both scored in double figures as the Golden Knights edged the Vikings.

Logan Shuttleworth netted 10 points for the Vikings.

Woodbridge 62, Delmar 29: Yaz Hill netted 22 points, including four three-pointers, as the Raiders picked up the South win.

Altia Anderson added 15 points, 18 rebounds and six blocked shots as Woodbridge opened up a 32-17 halftime lead.

Delmar’s Kammielle Spates tallied a team-high 12 points.

Delmarva Christian 41, Salisbury Christian 29: Camryna Breasure had 10 points to lead the Royals to the win.

Boys’ basketball

St. Thomas More 65, Christiana 55: Four players scored in double figures as the Ravens improved to 9-2.

Zion Cole (15 points), Aaron Scott (13), Kobe Morris (12) and Gregory Bloodsworth (11) all paced St. Thomas More, which outscored the Vikings 20-10 in the second quarter.

Milford 47, Seaford 43: The Buccaneers outscored the Blue Jays, 16-10, in the fourth quarter to pull out the South victory.

Brion Murray had 12 points with Henry Nesmith adding 10 for Milford.

Rahim Smith netted a game-high 21 points to lead Seaford with Khiry DeShields adding 10.

Cape Henlopen 63, Sussex Central 55: The Vikings built a 30-22 halftime advantages before holding off the Golden Knights in the North matchup.

Demetrius Price tallied 16 points and Drew Mulcahy had 14 for Cape.

Tai’Ron Abbott scored a game-high 23 points, sinking all five of the Knights’ three-pointers. Ethan Lambert added 10 points.

Woodbridge 70, Delmar 49: The Raiders stretched their winning streak to seven in a row with the South victory.

William Penn 74, Sussex Tech 46: The Colonials outscored the Ravens by 19 points in the second half to pull away in the nonconference contest.

Brandon Palmer had 13 points to lead Sussex Tech.

College basketball

DSU suspended game rescheduled: The suspended Delaware State-Howard men’s basketball contest will resume on Jan. 20 at 4:30 p.m. at DSU’s Memorial Hall.

On Monday, Howard was leading 41-38 with 15:41 left in the second half when play was stopped due to mechanical issues with the clock.

This is the only scheduled meeting between the Hornets and Bison this season.

Delaware State will begin a two-game MEAC road swing at South Carolina State on Saturday. The Hornets will also visit Savannah State on Jan. 18 before returning home.

Howard will host Harvard in a non-conference game on Saturday and MEAC rival Florida A&M next Monday before returning to DSU to resume the suspended game.
