Haley Prillaman scored a pair of goals to help lead Caesar Rodney High to a 3-1 victory over Smyrna High in field hockey on Tuesday afternoon.

Prillaman had a goal in each half, while Tara Daddio also scored in the first half to give the Riders a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Ciara Christensen recorded an assist for CR who improved to 3-3. Katie Fuhr had the goal for Smyrna (3-2-1).

Delmar 2, Dover 1: Paige Twilley-Webster and Ashley Arter each had a goal for the Wildcats (5-0-1).

Jacarra Jackson scored for Dover who dropped to 2-3.

Polytech 3, Indian River 0: Jamie Trabaudo netted two goals in the first half and Ali McKay added one of her own in the second half as the Panthers (5-0) earned the shutout victory.

Sussex Tech 2, Lake Forest 1: Annie Perdue scored the game-winning goal with three minutes left to lift the Ravens.

Aleksandra Bada also had a goal for Sussex Tech while Alyssa Santore equalized for Lake Forest in the second half.

Cape Henlopen 12, Laurel 0: The Vikings earned the shutout with the double-digit goal total.

Woodbridge 8, Sussex Central 0: The Blue Raiders netted five goals in the first half on their way to the win.

Boys’ soccer

Milford 4, Dover 1: Derrick Bogan scored a pair of goals while Ricardo Florestal and Darkenson Berrette had one each for the Buccaneers.

Jordan Hutchins provided the goal for the Senators.

Caesar Rodney 9, Delmar 1: Chris McPoyle’s hat trick led the Riders who also got two-goal performances from Tommy McPoyle and Ricky Hernandez.

Josh Bennett and Chika Ikwuagwu also scored for CR. Jordan Tanner had the goal for the Wildcats.

Cape Henlopen 2, Indian River 1: Zach Gelof and Ulysis Slagle each netted a goal in the first half for the Vikings who remained unbeaten at 7-0.

Tyler Malloy assisted on both of Cape Henlopen’s goals.

Sussex Tech 5, Seaford 0: Marlon Trejo, Carter Burris, Michael Barr, Joshua Artiga and Alberto Cruz each tallied one goal as the Ravens held Seaford scoreless.

Volleyball

Polytech 3, Sussex Academy 0: Ashley Rivera had five kills to lead the Panthers to a 25-15, 25-10, 25-14 straight-set victory.

Smyrna 3, Indian River 0: The Eagles recorded the win in three sets 25-12, 25-14 and 25-18.

Delmar 3, Caesar Rodney 0: Carly Covingto’s six kills paced the Wildcats who won 25-13, 25-21 and 25-22.

Dover 3, Seaford 0: The Senators won in straight sets 25-14, 25-7 and 25-12.

Milford 3, Sussex Central 2: The Bucaneers won the decisive last set 15-10 and were led by 12 aces from Madison Rogers.

College football

Wesley’s Callahan honored again: Wesley College senior Joe Callahan was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week after his performance on Saturday in a 50-49 win over No. 22 North Central College.

Callahan passed for 414 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 111 yards and three more scores. The senior quarterback also led the Wesley on a 94-yard drive that reached the end zone with seven seconds left. He then completed a two-point conversion to give the fifth-ranked Wolverines the victory.

College soccer

Wesley 4, Eastern Mennonite 1: The Wolverines scored a season-high four goals in a victory over Eastern Mennonite University, earning their third consecutive win.

Zack Baker earned the win in net while Bailey Lyons, Patrick Schlosser, Adrian Brice and Zach Gaudlip each scored their first goals of the season for the Wolverines. For Lyons, Schlosser and Brice, their goals were the first of their careers.

College field hockey

Hens drop to No. 13 in poll: After notching its first loss of the season at then-No. 6 Duke, the Delaware field hockey team dropped one spot to No. 13 in this week’s Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches poll.

The Blue Hens, off to their best start in program history, fell to the Blue Devils, 5-1, last Friday before bouncing back with a 3-2 victory at Richmond to improve to 9-1.

The preseason favorite to win the conference, Delaware opens Colonial Athletic Association play this weekend by hosting William & Mary on Friday at 7 p.m. and No. 19 James Madison on Sunday at 1 p.m.

College golf

Wolverines fifth in tourney: The Wesley College golf team took fifth in the Bay Creek Invitational at Bay Creek Golf Course in Cape Charles, Va. on Tuesday.

The Wolverines carded a two-day, four-man score of 690. Dylan Chessher (Caesar Rodney) led the squad with a total of 166, finishing 19th overall.

Matt Maskell finished with a two-day score of 168 while Tyler Speilberger turned in a 173.
