Wesley alum honored: Wesley College alumni and former men’s soccer standout Garland “GR” Cannon was named the 2015 NSCAA Youth Boys East Regional Soccer Coach of the Year on Friday, December 11. GR received notice of the award from Louise Waxler, past president of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Chair of the Youth Coach of the Year Program. He brings energy, knowledge and a competitive spirit that has helped so many individuals to improve, teams to better compete with bigger clubs and the Bayshore Soccer Club to raise its profile regionally. We at Wesley are very proud of him” commented Wesley Soccer head coach, Steve Clark.

Cannon graduated from Wesley College in 2004 and was inducted into the Wesley College Athletics Hall of Fame as a member of the Induction Class of 2013.
