Sophomore Aniah Patterson poured in a game-high 30 points to pace St. Thomas More to a 64-25 victory over Seaford in noncoference girls’ basketball on Tuesday afternoon.

Patterson sank five three-pointers in the contest, which the Ravens (2-1) led 22-5 after the first quarter.

DahNaija Barnes added 11 points for St. Thomas More.

Tomajah Whaley scored 11 points to lead Seaford.

Lake Forest 46, Delmar 31: The Spartans downed the Wildcats in a Henlopen South matchup.

Ursuline 81, Dover 21: The Raiders cruised to a nonconference victory over the Senators.

Indian River 42, Woodbridge 29: The Indians outscored the Raiders, 15-6, in the second quarter to take control of the Henlopen South game.

Julia Jordan had 12 points with Madison McGee scoring 10 for IR.

Ronkeira Holden netted a team-high 10 points for Woodbridge.

Sussex Tech 77, Design-Lab Del. 3: Rukiya Davis tallied 10 points to spark the Ravens to the nonconference win.

Boys’ basketball

Caesar Rodney 65, Lake Forest 36: The Riders outscored the Spartans, 32-10, in the first half on their way to the win.

Davione Robinson netted 19 points for CR with Joseph Williams tallying 14.

Isaiah Morris scored a team-high 17 points for Lake Forest.

Milford 54, Cape Henlopen 49: In a back-and-forth game, the Buccaneers outscored the Vikings, 18-12, in the fourth quarter to pull out the victory.

Milford led by 10 after the first quarter only to have Cape tie the game going into the fourth.

Brion Murray (21 points), Tymire Riddick (14) and Daniel Shockley (10) all scored in double figures for the Bucs.

The Vikings’ Cory Barnes and Randy Rickards had 15 points apiece with Ian Robertson scoring 10.

Polytech 61, Brandywine 58: Miguel Rivera scored 24 points as the Panthers held on for the nonconference victory.

Polytech led 34-18 at halftime. Jaeden Dungee addd 11 points for the Panthers, who made four three-pointers in the contest.

Woodbridge 52, Indian River 22: The Raiders stormed out to a 33-8 halftime advantage before picking up the Henlopen South win.

College basketball

DSU’s Waller among three-point leaders: Delaware State junior Kavon Waller has climbed to No. 5 in the latest NCAA Division I men’s basketball rankings for three-point accuracy.

Waller’s 8-for-9 shooting on three-point attempts in last Saturday’s win over Keystone raised his percentage to .571 this season. The eight threes tied a school record first set by Marty Bailey in a 2000 MEAC Tournament game.

In addition to topping all MEAC players in three-point percentage, Waller is tied for third in the league in total threes (32) and three-pointers per game (2.9). His overall shooting percentage of .541 (46-for-85) is third in the MEAC this season.

As a team, Delaware State is No. 1 in the MEAC and 48th in the nation with a .392 three-point shooting percentage (91-for-232). The Hornets set a team record with 15 threes in the Dec. 10 win over Keystone.
