Lily Larimore pitched a one-hitter, striking out nine, as Felton-Harrington won a Major League softball District I tournament game 16-3 over Smyrna-Clayton on Friday night.

Larimore also had three hits at the plate, tripled, drove in a run and scored twice. Chloe Hurd added a pair of hits and three RBI while Alyssa Anthony reached base every time up and score twice with one RBI.

Regan Nacreli had a hit for Smyrna-Clayton.

Senior League

M.O.T. 31, Camden-Wyoming 0: In a contest played on Thursday, Danielle DeBenedictis struck out eight to record the complete game shutout in the opening round of the District I tournament.

Priya Patel, Maddie Land, Maris Fasio and Jaycee Gebhart paced the M.O.T. offense.

Baseball

Senior League

Dover 3, Camden-Wyoming 2: Mason Greene hit a walkoff RBI-single in the seventh in game completed late Thursday night to help Dover reach the District I championship game.

Keon Malone had tied it for Dover at 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh with a single. Greene also earned the win for Dover pitching scoreless in relief.

The championship game is scheduled for Sunday at 7 p.m. at M.O.T.

Pat Knight

M.O.T. Blue 12, M.O.T. Red 2: The M.O.T. Blue squad won the Pat Knight tournament title on Friday night.

College golf

UD golfer qualifies for national tournament: University of Delaware men’s golf incoming freshman Christian Chapman has qualified for the USGA Junior Amateur which will be held later this summer.

Chapman (Victor, N.Y./Victor) fired a two over par 73 at the Onandaga Golf and Country Club on June 19, finishing in second place, to earn a spot in the Junior Amateur. His round included an eagle on the seventh hole, three birdies and nine pars.

The Junior Amateur will be held July 17-22 at Flint Hills National Golf Club in Andover, Kansas.
