Delaware’s Nicole Enabosi was named the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.

The sophomore forward averaged a double-double of 16.5 points and 11. 5 rebounds as the Blue Hens split two games last week.

In Thursday’s victory over Robert Morris, Enabosi tallied 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting to go along with 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Against Big East foe Georgetown, she collected 19 points, 12 rebounds, three blocked shots, two assists and two steals. The Hoyas sent her to the line 14 times and Enabosi converted 11 of those attempts.

Enabosi, who has started all eight games, has posted three double doubles this season and nine for her career. She leads the Blue Hens with 12.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.3 blocked shot per game.

DSU’s Morgan earns honor: Delaware State sophomore Devin Morgan was selected as the College Sports Madness Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.

Morgan averaged 19.3 points in three games last week, highlighted by a season-best 26-point performance in the Hornets’ 79-72 win over St. John’s on Nov. 29 and a game-high 23-point showing at SMU on Dec. 4.

He tied his career-high with five three point field goals in the SMU contest and was 9-for-13 from the field , including 3-of-6 on three-point shots, vs. St. John’s.

For the season, Morgan is tops on the Hornets and tied for ninth in the MEAC in scoring at 14.0 points per game.

College lacrosse

UD men to host Navy: The Delaware men’s lacrosse team will play nine home games, including a matchup with 2016 NCAA Tournament quarterfinalist Navy, as Blue Hen head coach Bob Shillinglaw announced the squad’s 2017 schedule on Monday.

The Blue Hens, who finished 5-10 overall and 2-3 in the Colonial Athletic Association last year, kick off the campaign on Feb. 4 with a home game against Bucknell. Following the first road game of the year at Mount St. Mary’s a week later, Delaware returns home to host the Midshipmen on Feb. 18.

College tennis

UD names new men’s coach: Pablo Montana was named the head coach of the Delaware men’s tennis program on Monday.

Montana joins the Blue Hens after spending the past 14 seasons as the women’s tennis head coach at California University of Pennsylvania, where he built one of the nation’s elite NCAA Division II programs.

A two-time ITA National Coach of the Year, five-time ITA Regional Coach of the Year and eight-time PSAC West Coach of the Year, Montana was the winningest coach in program history with an record of 276-83 (.769) from 2002-2016. Cal U posted 12 straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the quarterfinals seven times in eight seasons from 2007-14.
