Roundup: F-H earns Junior League District I finals

Felton-Harrington made it into the championship game of the Junior League District I baseball tournament thanks to a 16-14 victory over Camden-Wyoming on Thursday night.

Felton-Harrington plays Dover tonight at Camden-Wyoming (7 p.m.). Dover needs to win once for the title but if Felton-Harrington wins a second championship game will take place on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

In the win over Camden-Wyoming, Christian Roberts, Payton Lehman and Hunter Fleetwood all drove in four runs while Johnny Forrest had seven stolen bases.

Camden-Wyoming was led by Kyle Comegys who recorded three hits.

Major League

M.O.T. 15, Felton 5: Ben Falletta and Brody Sapp each homered as M.O.T. came out of the losers’ bracket and will meet Camden-Wyoming in the first championship game tonight at Smyrna-Clayton (7 p.m.).

Zack Harp pitched four innings for the win and also had two hits. Blake Harbert and Jake Saloney each had a pair of hits too.

Camden-Wyoming 18, Felton 6: Jake Armstrong pitched four innings of one-run ball for the victory in a game contested on Wednesday night. Marquise Guy caught a pop fly and threw out a runner at home for game-ending double play.

Austin Bittle homered for Felton.

Softball

9-10-year-old

Milford 9, Camden-Wyoming 3: Milford forced a second championship game behind a big fifth inning and a strong pitching performance by Mya Cherneski.

Cherneski struck out 12 as she earned the victory.

The two teams will play again for the District I title tonight at Smyrna-Clayton (6 p.m.).
