Tyler Rosello and Jared Rowley each homered as Dover High defeated Lake Forest High 11-1 in a Henlopen Conference baseball contest on Tuesday afternoon.

Rowley gave the Senators the lead with a grand slam in a five-run first inning. He also pitched five innings of one-run ball to record the victory.

Dover (10-2 in conference, 14-2 overall) can win its second straight Henlopen title with a victory at Delmar today at 4:15 p.m. A Senator loss would leave the Henlopen Northern Division in a three-way tie with Dover, Cape Henelopen and Sussex Tech all 10-3 in conference.

Also for Dover, Jordan Hutchins was 3-for-4 with a double and a triple. Tevin Thomas, Kendall Small and Aaron Jenkins each had a pair of hits for Dover while Dakota Graham and Garrett Lawson had RBI.

Logan Simpson provided the lone run for the Spartans with a solo home run.

Caesar Rodney 9, Seaford 3: Quintin Ivy belted two home runs as the Riders picked up the conference win to get back to .500 at 8-8 overall.

Tim Haugh was 4-for-4, scored a run, and had one RBI. Jake Williams had two hits and knocked in a run while Brennen Brown, Connor Zaia, and Takoda Bendolph each added RBIs for the Riders. Brett Horne scattered five hits to earn the win.

The Blue Jays were led by Cody Robison who was 2-for 3-with a run. Cody Wilkerson and Bryan Widdowson each had hits and scored runs while Derek Murphy added one RBI and Michael Lepter had a hit.

Sussex Tech 7, Polytech 6: Noah Jones scored on a bases-loaded walk to put the Ravens ahead for good in the top of the ninth.

The Panthers tied the game in the bottom of the seventh to send it to extra innings. Polytech was led offensively by Joey Haas, Trey Obermire and Cole Garey, who all homered.

Trent Hearn had two doubles for Sussex Tech.

Cape Henlopen 6, Smyrna 2: David Kwan had a bases-loaded double and Zack Gelof added two hits to lead Cape.

Ryan Seymour and Jeremy Carrow had two hits each for the Eagles.

Milford 11, Laurel 1: Abraham Mow threw four innings for the win in his first varsity start and  also had two hits with two RBI.

Dustin Reeder had a pair of hits and drove in three while Tom Saxon knocked in two runs.

For the Bulldogs, Perez Nichols tripled and scored a run.

Sussex Central 6, Indian River 2: Justin Mears went the distance, scattering three hits and striking out 10 for the Golden Knights.

D.J. Doherty hit a solo home run to give Central the lead early on. Then, with the game tied, Doherty gave the Knights the lead again with a two-run double.

Trey Toppin also had a pair of hits for the Knights.

Zane Richard drove in a run for the Indians.

Dickinson 5, St. Thomas More 3: Stephen Jackowicz had a hit and two stolen bases for the Ravens in the nonconference defeat.

Softball

Smyrna 3, Cape Henlopen 0: Kaelyn Press and Samantha Jamison each had one RBI to help lead the Eagles to a win. Sydney Botsch pitched a four-hit shutout, striking out five.

Riley Shields doubled for Cape.

Polytech 8, Sussex Tech 3: Brandi Dalious was 3-for 4-with a home run and a triple as the Panthers won their sixth in a row.

Shaina Reed was 2-for-3 and Whitney DeMora was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI. Reed also struck out seven.

Alyssa Collins was 2-for-3 with two triples and Lauren Genshaw also added two hits for the Ravens.

Caesar Rodney 14, Seaford 1: The Riders scored nine runs in the first inning on their way to the conference victory.

Kyra Watson had a double and a triple for CR. Rosa’lynn Burton also doubled.

Tori Grimes paced the Seaford offense with three doubles.

Lacrosse

BOYS, Cape Henlopen 6, Wilmington Friends 5: Kyle Orton scored in the second overtime to seal the nonconference win for the Vikings.

Orton and Erik-Stephane Stancofski had two goals each. Ethan Ghabra and Jed Monigle also scored for Cape.

Smyrna 18, St. Thomas More 3: The Eagles finished the regular season at 11-4.

Dover 12, St. Andrew’s 7: The Senators picked up the nonconference victory on Tuesday to end the regular season at 10-5.

Milford 16, St. Georges 3: Matt Viramontes netted six goals as the Buccaneers cruised to the nonconference win.

GIRLS, Polytech 18, Sussex Tech 3: Ali McKay scored six goals and Jamie Trabaudo added four to lead the Panthers.

Kathryn Richardson, Caroline Hermance and Madilyn McKay each had two goals apiece.

Dover 18, Mount Pleasant 4: Natalie Glascock led the Senators to a win in their season finale with four goals as they wrapped up the season at 10-5.

Dover got three-goal games from Mira Prisco, Ave Burleigh, Maura Gast, Ashley Manifold and Rachel Mills.

Smyrna 16, Hodgson 7: Bailey Grey netted four goals to lift the Eagles in a nonconference win.

Kaila Hindt, Cathryn Holford, Madeline Price, Alison Sayers and Allison Wheatley all had two-goal games.

Girls’ soccer

Smyrna 4, Cape Henlopen 0: Stacey Staley, Kylie McCusker, Alli Hubert and Nnennaya Okorie each had a goal in the Smyrna victory.

The Eagles finish the regular season 5-1 in the Henlopen North, 13-2 overall.

Milford 2, Dover 1: The Buccaneers scored twice in the second half for a come-from-behind win.

St. Thomas More 3, Delaware Academy of Public Safety/Security 0: Alexis Swinford, Kayce Boller and Amy Jackson each scored in the second half for the Ravens.

CR to face IR for title: Northern champion Caesar Rodney will take on South winner Indian River in the Henlopen Conference girls’ soccer championship game on Thursday. The contest will be played at Milford at 6 p.m.

The Riders (13-1-1) beat IR (12-2) by a score of 5-1 on April 25.
