College athletics
UD to allow full capacity: The University of Delaware athletic department announced recently that it will no longer have capacity restrictions for events beginning in the fall.
With a return to full capacity in Delaware Stadium, there will also be a return to our traditional pre-game festivities and tailgating. At this time, face masks will not be required for fans in attendance that have been fully vaccinated.
UD will deliver tickets for all sporting events digitally. All ticket holders will be able to fully manage their tickets through their account, including downloading tickets to their digital wallet, reissuing tickets via the print-at-home option, or transferring tickets to friends and guests.
Delaware athletics continues to follow university, CDC, federal and state guidance regarding health and safety requirements. These updated policies are subject to change based upon COVID-19 health and safety measures and the Delaware State of Emergency being lifted on July 13 as planned.

Montana to coach both UD teams: After one season at the helm of the Delaware women’s tennis program, Pablo Montana has been promoted to Director of Tennis for the Blue Hens. He will now be the head coach for both the men’s and women’s tennis programs.
As the interim head coach, Montana led the women’s tennis program to a perfect 7-0 record, the first undefeated season since 1997, and a 2-0 conference mark leading to five Colonial Athletic Association honors for the Blue Hens.
Montana has played an instrumental part in the success of UD tennis. In his first season at UD (2016-17), the Hens posted the most wins (nine) since the 2010-11 campaign. From there, Delaware registered 17 wins in 2018 and 14 wins in 2019.
In its last complete season, the men’s tennis program was on a 14-match win streak when the 2019-20 season was halted and finished the year with a 14-1 record (.933), the highest winning percentage for UD since 1974-75.
