Sussex Central High built a four-goal lead going into the fourth quarter before edging St, Thomas More, 9-8, in nonconference boys’ lacrosse on Monday.
Chase Wells and Christopher Parker had three goals each for Central, which led 8-4 after three quarters.
James Steinburg has four goals with William Thomas adding three to pace St. Thomas More, which outshot the Knights, 38-25. Goalie Jon Titus made nine saves.
Lake Forest 16, Red Lion 1: Austin Aguilar netted five goals and a pair of assists to lead the Spartans.
Benjamin Moore added four goals and two assists while Carter Kenton (1 assist) and Ryan Sipple had three goals each. David Gustafsson added a goal with two assists and Chris Wallace making six saves.
Sussex Tech 14, Parkside, Md. 6: Jason Whaley’s six goals and two assists paced the Ravens to the nonconference victory.
Matthew Tull (1 assist) added three goals while Ian Carlisle (1 assist) had two. Jacob Ryan made 14 saves for Sussex Tech, which outshot Parkside, 45-22.
Cape Henlopen 9, Stephen Decatur, Md. 6: The Vikings outscored Decatur 6-3 in the second half to pick up their fifth straight win.
Michael Hopkins tallied three goals and two assists as seven different Cape players scored in the contest. Christopher Argo made 10 saves as the Vikings held a 30-25 edge in shots.
GIRLS, Stephen Decatur, Md. 15, Cape Henlopen 9: The Vikings fell to 6-2 with the nonconference loss. Both Cape’s setbacks have come against Maryland schools.
Sussex Central 3, Laurel 2: Yadalyn Paxtor-Ochoa scored in the 51st minute to snap a 2-2 tie and give the Golden Knights to the win.
Jenni Ramirez-Villagomez added a goal and assist with Adriana Lopez adding Central’s other goal. Allison Barrow made six saves for the Knights, who held advantages of 13-8 in shots and 9-3 in corner kicks.
Destiney Atkinson and Cassidy VanderHoeven scored goals for Laurel while Suzanna Cole and Makayla James combined for 10 saves.
Wilmington Charter 6, Dover 0: Goalie Brittany Rosello made 18 saves for the Senators in their nonconference loss.
The Force, which outshot Dover 25-1, tallied five first-half goals.
Delmarva Christian 10, Christiana 0: The Wildcats tallied six first-half goals en route to the victory.

The first eliminations in the Crazy 8 Series for Bikes was won by Turon Davis of Georgetown. Other winners included: Josh Davis of Seaford in Street; Lou Phillips of Delmar, Md. in Hot Rod; Keith Riddle of Millsboro in Jr. Dragster 1 and Kody Mariner of Salisbury won in Jr. Dragster 2.
