Posted

President Biden’s nominations to federal positions include notable firsts like Deb Haaland, a member of the Laguna Pueblo tribe, recently sworn in as Secretary of the Interior, and U.S. District Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, nominated for U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, which could put her on a path to become the first African American woman nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court. Why do you think these sorts of nominations didn’t happen sooner?
