Clad in red, dozens of guests turned out Friday to support the Southern Delaware Go Red for Women Luncheon at the Rollins Center in Dover.

The 14th annual event, organized by a team of more than 70 volunteers, featured exhibits, vendors, and a fashion show, all centered on the theme, “Power of a Woman’s Heart.”

Delaware Secretary of Transportation Jennifer Cohan told the crowd in a candid speech how heart disease has impacted her life, killing her father and her aunt and leading her father in law to need triple bypass surgery.

“I ‘Go Red’ because I’m mad,” she said, rallying the crowd to join her in the fight to find a cure.
