DOVER - Police said they are investigating the Sunday night shooting death of a 36-year-old Middletown man, which authorities said was the City of Dover’s seventh homicide in 2015.
According to the Dover Police Department, Sylvester Williams died at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital as a result of injuries suffered from a gunshot wound to the torso in the unit block area of South New Street.
Police said they received reports of shots fired and a male victim being struck at 11:13 p.m.
On Monday moring, Dover PD spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said information regarding the incident was limited at this time.
Investigation is ongoing and Dover PD asked anyone with information to call 736-7111. Callers may remain anonymous.
