As the high school football season goes into its eighth weekend, here’s our predictions for this weekend’s local high school and college games.

Andy Walter, Delaware State News: 67-16

Tim Mastro, Delaware State News: 66-17

Craig Anderson, Delaware State News: 69-14

Glenn Frazer, Delaware Radio 105.9: 71-12

Matt Pencek, WBOC-TV: 70-13

High school games start at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Caesar Rodney (0-3, 0-7) at Smyrna (3-0, 7-0)

Now the Riders get their chance at trying to stop the Eagles’ 17-game winning streak.         

AW: Smyrna, 50-13; TM: Smyrna, 56-6; CA: Smyrna, 48-6; GF: Smyrna, 49-6; MP: Smyrna, 56-6

Sussex Tech (2-2, 4-3) at Dover (1-2, 2-5)

In an up-and-down season Ravens are looking for a third straight win over the Senators.      

AW: STech, 42-27; TM: Dover, 28-27; CA: STech, 27-23; GF: STech, 28-20; MP: STech, 35-18

Sussex Central (2-2, 4-3) at Polytech (0-3, 1-6)

After a heartbreaking loss to Smyrna, Golden Knights look to get right back on track.             

AW: Central, 41-8; TM: Central, 35-7; CA: Central, 38-13; GF: Central, 27-7; MP: Central, 45-6

Caravel (4-3) at Cape Henlopen (6-1)

Cape Henlopen needs a sixth straight win to keep its state tournament hopes on track.

AW: Cape, 21-14; TM: Cape, 36-24; CA: Cape, 27-22; GF: Cape, 31-14; MP: Cape, 30-17

Milford (3-0, 7-0) at Woodbridge (3-0, 7-0)

After four shutouts in a row, Blue Raiders are going to be tough for anybody to beat.

AW: Wood, 22-7; TM: Wood, 28-14; CA: Wood, 20-16; GF: Wood, 34-31; MP: Wood, 42-20

Indian River (2-2, 2-5) at Delmar (3-0, 5-2), 7:30 p.m.

With four straight wins, Delmar is turning into a legitimate Div. II state tourney contender.

Saturday’s games

Seaford (0-4, 1-6) at Lake Forest (0-3, 0-7), noon

Lake would love nothing better than to celebrate homecoming by getting its first victory.

AW: Lake, 34-6; TM: Lake, 35-13; CA: Lake, 44-14; GF: Lake, 28-13; MP: Lake, 18-13

Laurel (3-4) vs. Delaware Military (6-1), at Baynard Stadium, 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs won’t have an easy time coming back from Wilmington with a .500 record.     

AW: DMA, 35-13; TM: DMA, 33-30; CA: DMA, 23-7; GF: DMA, 27-20; MP: DMA, 42-15

College games

Montclair State (3-3, 4-3) at Wesley (5-1, 5-2), 1 p.m.

Wolverines now have a clear path to the NJAC title but not if they overlook Montclair.

AW: Wesley, 31-21; TM: Wesley, 34-21; CA: Wesley, 38-20; GF: Wesley, 37-17; MP: Wesley, 42-21

Towson (0-4, 1-6) at Delaware (0-4, 2-5), 3:30 p.m.

This could be the Blue Hens’ last good chance at a third victory this season.

AW: UD, 17-14; TM: Towson, 21-17; CA: UD, 14-10; GF: Towson, 23-17; MP: UD, 28-10

Delaware State (0-4, 0-7) at Bethune-Cookman (1-3, 1-5), 4 p.m.

Winless Hornets head to Fla. to face a squad not faring much better than them this fall.
