New United Way Board of Directors elected

Julia Ashworth and Vince Stutts were elected to a three-year term on the United Way of Delaware board of directors, and Doug Philips was elected to a one-year term as Chair of UWDE’s Audit Committee. Lauren Russell was elected as an ex-officio board member and named General Counsel of UWDE.

Ms. Ashwood is the Southwest Airlines co-brand general manager from JPMorgan and is experienced in improving service to and strengthening communications with customers and growing relationships.

Mr. Phillips is the president and managing director at Horty & Horty and provides accounting, auditing and tax services. He is actively involved in the firm’s marketing initiatives and publishing in the article library.

Ms. Russell serves as counsel at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor and specializes in the representation of employers on a range of issues and client counsel. She has experience in each of Delaware’s state and federal courts, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Mr. Stutts is the global director for environmental, health and safety at DuPont and provides strategic and technical support to company locations across the globe. He has been in many different leadership roles in the last 22 years including roles in operations, maintenance, supply chain and engineering and worked for NASA as a rocket propulsion engineer prior to joining DuPont.
