Native American Day celebration in Millsboro Nov. 6

MILLSBORO — The Nanticoke Indian Tribe will host their Native American Day Celebration on the grounds of the Nanticoke Indian Museum in Millsboro on Saturday, Nov. 6 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Attractions include Native American storytelling, face painting, dancing and music. Food vendors will offer traditional Native American foods, and craftspeople will be displaying and selling their wares. The theme this year is “Honoring Our Dancers.” The guest speaker will be Keith Colston (Tuscarora-Lumbee).

Native American Day honors the cultural contributions of Native American communities to the respective state’s history, as well as to the overall country.
The Nanticoke Indian Museum is located on John J. Williams Highway in Millsboro, across the street from Royal Farms. The GPS Friendly address is 26673 John J. Williams Highway, Millsboro. The telephone number is 945-7022.

The Native American Day event is open to the public with free admission.
