MAGNOLIA — A vehicle collision just after noon Friday left a Felton man dead.

Delaware State Police said Paul J. Schiller, 62, was driving a motorcycle eastbound on Irish Hill Road approaching Lexington Mill Road at approximately 12:13 when he collided with a DART bus turning left.

Mr. Schiller, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The operator of the DART bus, a 55-year-old man from Smyrna, was properly restrained and transported to Bayhealth Kent General with minor injuries. There were no passengers on the bus at the time.

The intersection was closed for about four hours while the crash was investigated and cleared. The incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
