Crystal Waples

MILFORD — A 37-year-old Milford woman was charged with offensive touching following an investigation in the Silver Lake Estates apartment complex parking lot on May 26, authorities said.

Milford Police officers were called to the scene at 12:05 p.m. and told that a woman began yelling at a person from an apartment window when the arrived at the complex on Linstone Lane. The woman allegedly came outside and continued to yell, then slapped a person in the back of the head and knocked a hat off, authorities said. Police were told that one of the woman’s children were present at the time.

Officers conducted further investigation by reviewing surveillance footage of the incident and obtained a warrant for Crystal Waples.

Ms. Waples turned herself in to the Milford Police on May 31 and was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was presented through Justice of the Peace Court 2 in Rehoboth Beach and was released on $500 unsecured bail with a no contact order.
