Ramaj ThompsonMIDDLETOWN — An 18-year-old New Castle man turned himself in to police and was charged with first-degree attempted murder regarding a shots fired investigation at a Valero gas station on July 1, Middletown Police said Thursday.
Ramaj Thompson was also charged with four counts each of first-degree reckless endangering, nine counts of possession of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and a count of first-degree conspiracy. He was arraigned and then held at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna on $995,000 cash bail. A no contact order was also issued.
Police said a vehicle occupied by four persons ages 6 to 23 was damaged by multiple gunshots at the gas station at 38 E. Main Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.
