Literacy Delaware to hold tutor training in May

Literacy Delaware is seeking tutors in New Castle and Kent counties  for its  targeted instruction to adults with limited reading and writing skills and English language learning adults.

Tutors are needed ifor one-to-one tutoring or small group instruction. Free, comprehensive training is provided.

The goal of Literacy Delaware is to help adults realize their potential to become confident, self-sufficient members of their communities, according to a news release. 

The upcoming tutor orientation is being held on Thursday, April 22 at 1:30 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m.

The training course will be held each Thursday throughout May with an option of an afternoon or evening course.

It is comprised of online training modules and four virtual face-to-face sessions via Zoom. Contact the organization at 658-5624 or admin@literacydelaware.org for additional information or to register.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all training and tutoring is held remotely.
