During his recent congressional address, President Joe Biden said, “We, the people, are the government — you and I.” Quite a cryptic message.
Does the Biden administration view the government as the most powerful unit in America? When the Democratic “wish lists” come to fruition, will Americans be better off after millions of jobs are eliminated and unemployed Americans are advised to bite the bullet and learn the trades of solar/wind, the Green New Deal, environmental and health care projects? Eliminating Donald Trump’s successful immigration policies will leave a dangerous and expanding border crisis, threatening America from the southern border through to the north. The Biden administration has endorsed and applauded this radicalism. Our American economy and successful future are in grave danger.
There are inventive, successful efforts by cartels and coyotes to bring illegal immigrants across the border, while our outnumbered, overworked border agents are struggling to do their jobs. We need an immediate solution to this nightmare. Vice President Kamala Harris must show her presence at the border and see for herself what horrors are happening, not attempt to solve this major problem from afar. Kamala, show you are capable of solving this crisis. No progress has been visibly made. Maybe someone who has firsthand knowledge should be supervising this desperate situation. A positive beginning would be to finish the wall. It would be a prohibitive entrance through our border.
It was not Biden who first spoke the treasured words of "We, the People." It is the opening phrase of the Preamble to the United States Constitution. Abraham Lincoln, the greatest president the United States has ever had, was cognizant of truths stated in the Preamble when delivering his Gettysburg address. His wisdom and knowledge of our history was evident when stating “that this nation under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.” He knew that a house divided cannot stand. Today, the United States of America is a divided country. Unity has been promised but unfulfilled. Political adversaries should not be allowed to dissolve our union.
Democrats speak often and loudly, with socialistic answers and unstable promises. Our rights and freedoms must be preserved. Socialism has not worked in the countries that have suffered with promises of “everything will be better” or that the all-knowing government knows best. Cuba and Venezuela have been brought to desperate levels of poverty and powerlessness by socialistic regimes with no hope for change. America must never be put in that position by the removal of individual freedoms and constitutional liberties, putting our future in peril. No government force must attain this power over its people.
Abraham Lincoln dedicated his life to ensure that government not jeopardize its citizenry through unjust law or edict. We, the people, must be more powerful than any government authorization that inhibits the freedoms that we hold dear, freedoms that many brave Americans have given all to preserve, protect and provide. We must not believe empty promises of political bureaucrats that “all will be well” then eradicating the treasured democracy valued throughout our lives. America must stay strong and speak the truth the country was founded upon, never the radical platforms endorsed by the current left-wing federal governmental bureaucrats.
