Letter to the Editor: Recent letter places no blame on Democratic Party

Posted

It seems more and more that Chicken Little syndrome has come to live in the modern media. Nothing exemplifies that more than devoting space to the fantasies in a recent letter (“What are Republicans doing?” Oct. 20).

I’m positive that none of the fabrications and fairy-tale scenarios would have ever seen print if submitted by a conservative.

The entire letter was the projection of blame to the innocent party to avoid responsibility and culpability of the Democratic party.

Has the letter writer been outside her home since Jan. 20? Has she been to grocery stores, with shelves empty, as in 1942? Has she seen gas prices? In 2020, we paid $1.97 a gallon for gas and were energy-independent, actually selling oil to other countries. Today, we’re $3.25-plus and have a demented president begging OPEC to fill shortages he initiated by closing pipelines and shutting down American production. Infrastructure? Really? This supposedly was taken care of during the Obama/Biden era with the trillion-dollar “omnibus bill” and millions of “shovel-ready jobs.”

The stark reality that Democrats don’t want you to know is that the Democratic Party of Harry Truman and John Kennedy has been taken over by communists. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont is an avowed socialist. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rep. Rashida Tliab of Michigan and Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts are ideologues, who Pelosi and Schumer must find so menacing that they dare not compete.

Republicans didn’t give America $3.25-plus gas or $20 chuck roasts or toilet paper shortages. Neither did they convert the Port of Los Angeles from 17 cargo ships with no backlog to 100 ships at anchor with a two- to four-week wait. Republicans didn’t charter midnight flights of illegal aliens from our Southern border to major cities that are already deeply fiscally challenged. Republicans didn’t abandon Americans and allies in Afghanistan nor leave billions of dollars’ worth of combat equipment in the hands of terrorists. Republicans didn’t abandon the materials for a border fence or throw the agency responsible for our safety under the bus. And Republicans aren’t lying that a multitrillion-dollar spending bill is “paid for” without admitting that the cost will be triple-digit inflation, increased taxation and passing the resultant debt on to our great-great-grandchildren.

The letter is reverse propaganda and guilt transfer, and its sole intent is to create more division in our country. In over 245 years, America has never been represented by a more inept and weak administration than this former Delaware senator.
