Letter to the Editor: Lies, lies and more lies from the president

Posted

From the moment Joe Biden opened his mouth and uttered the first words of his inaugural address, he started lying to the American public. From the alleged Democratic perspective, Joe was elected to bring civility and unity back to America. My estimation is that nothing could have been further from the truth.

In just nine short months, Joe and the Democrats have managed to divide this country more than ever. Under the auspices of diversity, equity and inclusion, the Democrats and their sycophants (social media and the press) have gaslighted us into becoming a nation of tribes — White, Black, Hispanic, LGBTQ, indigenous people, etc. We have lost the concept of “all of us being just American.” The Dems and their sycophants are exploiting and encouraging the concept of primarily identifying us as separate tribal units versus primarily identifying us as unified Americans. And what has Joe done? He’s fueled the flames of this destruction by fully supporting this tribal concept, as he pits American against American.

The latest invasion into undermining our unity are COVID-19 vaccination rules. Instead of trying to rationally explain why an individual should get or should seriously consider getting the vaccination, unvaccinated Americans are sometimes treated as unpatriotic and potential killers. Remember, both he and that vice president of ours berated Operation Warp Speed because it was undertaken by then-President Donald Trump. Using fear and intimidation, Joe, the Democratic Party and their sycophants have politicized and gaslighted the country about the dangers of COVID-19. Last year, doctors, nurses, police officers, firefighters and EMTs were heroes. Now, in some instances, unless they get vaccinated, they run the risk of being fired. Why? Whatever happened to diversity of thought and freedom of choice?

Joe’s first lies concerning unification were the cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline and the halting of construction of the border wall.

Recently, Alejandro Mayorkas, the secretary of homeland security and a former Obama official, canceled contracts for the construction of the border wall. How much money did/will that cost the American taxpayer? I’ll bet you’ll never hear that cost identified on CNN, MSNBC or in any newspaper. Secretary Mayorkas also keeps telling us that “the border is closed.” Ine report, for fiscal year 2021, says more than 1.5 million illegal aliens have crossed that “closed border.” Joe vilifies Americans for not getting vaccinated, but what is he doing about all the untested and unvaccinated illegal aliens crossing the “open border”?

When Joe took office, we were an energy-independent nation. Now, Jake Sullivan, national security adviser and another former Obama official, has reportedly asked the Saudis to increase their oil output. When I started writing this article, the cost of a barrel of brent crude was $83.95. In 2019, that cost was $64! From what I read, that price is only going to increase. At this writing, it costs $3.25 for a gallon of gas at Royal Farms. That price is only going to go higher. It is also being reported that the cost of natural gas and heating oil will increase this winter. The real question is, by how much? As the cost of groceries gets higher and higher, how many of you now believe that inflation is only transitory? How many more children and families will suffer from hunger?

As Joe fights for more “free” government money in his proposed $3.5 trillion “Build Back Better Plan,” he spouts that the cost to the American taxpayer will be $0! Just how stupid does he think the American public is? That bill will never get passed at $3.5 trillion, but regardless of what the final number is, it’s loaded with “free” government money and wins for the socialistic Green New Deal.

I could mention more lies Joe has told the American public, such as the Afghanistan departure fiasco, but I think it’s become apparent that he’s lost any idea, if he ever had it, of what being an honest, truthful and competent president means.

The Democrats, led by Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York — not our president — have become the party of socialists who are hellbent on replacing our capitalistic economy with one of government dependency from cradle to grave. Joe was kept in the basement during the campaign by those whom I suspect are currently running this country — Barack Obama, Susan Rice, the sycophants identified above and the incredibly powerful nongovernmental organizations located in Washington, D.C.

Perhaps the real question we should be asking is, how much of a kickback is Joe getting from Hunter Biden’s art sales?
