Letter to the Editor: Is it wise to teach CRT and raise ‘unwarranted feelings’ in children?

The definition of “theory” is quite accurate in regard to our process relative to critical race theory. The definition of theory is: 1.) an idea or plan; 2.) a formulation of underlying principles of certain observed phenomena, which has been verified to some degree; or 3.) a mere conjecture or a guess. Today, governed by certain progressive political elements who have effectively advanced their CRT efforts, it seems to have entered many areas of our school systems throughout America. I believe CRT presenters have disregarded parental intervention, viewing it as an unimportant to their projected plans, and that parents are expected to remain silent, without protests, objections or commentaries renouncing these educational warriors.

America’s most valued treasure is our children. What future will America possess if their thirsty young minds are filled with CRT progressive political outlooks by the spoken word from the political bureaucrats and learned minds we describe as our teachers and professors? Young students should always be taught the truth of the evils that existed in America and the lessons learned by correction of these major flaws throughout our beloved country. This known fact is critical in both theory and practice, not just one without the effective results of the other. Therefore, is it wise to teach within this projected “theory,” with children being exposed to unwarranted feelings of being in either the “oppressed” or the “oppressor” group? Their emotional well-being could be thwarted by these frightening revelations. These feelings may offer anger and deep resentment throughout their peer group. Our children must be taught that equality be consistently sought and provided, not the controversial “theory” currently in circulation, which is a mistaken idea.

Never must American education be erroneously taught on only an idea or plan that has not been based on complete verification. I believe CRT is a concept of a particular theory or view and not the confirmation of the exact events or the truth. The educational leaders who express this particular “theory” or view of their truth must not be allowed to offer an unqualified statement of these beliefs. Do not allow this “theory” to become the standard practice of our educational systems. Truth must prevail, not the individual views of it. Truth stands alone and let it remain so!

May God always bless the United States of America!
