DOVER -- Though it's not final, legislators appear to have an agreement to balance the budget.

The Joint Finance Committee undid $66 million worth of cuts around 6:45 p.m., indicating top lawmakers of both parties were finally able to find consensus of raising revenue.

JFC funded grants-in-aid for nonprofits to the tune of about $37.3 million, a 20-percent decrease from the fiscal year that ended June 30.

Both chambers will vote on the budget, bond bill and grant-in-aid soon barring a sudden and unexpected change.
