DOVER — Kool & the Gang will appear in the Rollins Center for a live performance on Friday, May 15 at 9 p.m. at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. The two-time Grammy Award-winning band will bring its unique sound to Dover, blending R&B, jazz and funk elements.

Known for hits such as “Celebration,” “Cherish,” “Jungle Boogie,” “Summer Madness” and “Open Sesame,” the band formed in 1969 and has been performing continuously since. In addition to its two Grammy Awards, Kool & the Gang has won seven American Music Awards, posted 25 top-10 R&B hits and nine top-10 pop hits, and boasts 31 gold and platinum selling albums.
