CHESWOLD — A 42-year-old Kenton man was pronounced dead at the scene following a crash on U.S. 13 Tuesday at 11:20 p.m., Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

State Police said the man was driving north in a Ford F-150 that collided with the rear of a tour bus that was slowing for a red light.

Identification was pending notice of kin and extended family.

The driver of the commercial tour bus, a 47-year-old New York man, was not injured in the collision. The bus was carrying four passengers traveling to Chinatown in New York City.

None of the passengers were injured in the collision and were released from the scene.

Northbound U.S. 13 in the area of the crash was closed for approximately four hours while the investigation was completed and the roadway was cleared.
