DOVER — A Harrington man was indicted last week for allegedly shooting at a Delaware State Police trooper during a foot chase last summer.

Aaron T. Purnell is facing first-degree attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of firearm by person prohibited, aggravated menacing, first-degree reckless endangering, resisting arrest and theft of firearm charges in Kent County Superior Court on Monday.

After Mr. Purnell, 30 at the time, turned to fire a round, police said, a trooper returned fire during a pursuit at Alder Park Apartments on Webbs Lane in Dover on July 24. No injuries were reported.

Other indictments, among others, included:

• Quadir T. Bryant, Tavon G. Johnson (also known as Cherry), and Robert Mannings III were part of a nine-count action regarding an alleged attempted robbery at a Shore Stop in Milford on July 18.

Charges included possession of a firearm (a shotgun) during the commission of a felony, wearing a disguise, second-degree conspiracy, among others. Mr. Bryant. of Felton, and Mr. Mannings, of Viola, had previously been convicted of felonies in North Carolina and also received person prohibited charges. Mr. Bryant and Mr. Mannings, both 24 at the time, were charged with resisting arrest.

Jaydenn D. Clough, 20, of Smyrna, was indicted separately for first-degree attempted robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, second-degree conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mr. Bryant, Mr. Johnson and Mr. Mannings were also indicted for third-degree burglary connected to a business in Felton on July 11. Other counts included wearing a disguise, possession of burglar tools, theft, second-degree conspiracy and criminal mischief.

• Isaac D. Jones and Chelsea R. Curtis are facing five counts related to an Aug. 8 traffic stop near U.S. 13 and Webbs Lane in Dover that allegedly yielded crack cocaine and more than 500 bags of heroin.

Two counts of drug dealing were indicted, along with aggravated possession,, second-degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mr. Jones was 32 years old at the time of arrest, and Ms. Curtis was 29.

• Jermaine E. Harmon was indicted on five counts following a drug arrest on July 26 at Bayard Apartments in Dover. Police said at the time that 86 bags of heroin and 2.1 grams of marijuana were allegedly involved. Mr. Harmon was 43 years old at the time.

Charges include drug dealing, aggravated possession of heroin, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest came during a Probation and Parole administrative search, police said.

• Barry D. Lituski, Brian L. McGinnis, and Linda A. Walsh were named in a three-count indictment involving alleged methamphetamine manufacturing at a Houston residence in August.

Mr. McGinnis, 30, Ms. Walsh, 52, and Mr. Lituski, 58, all lived at the home when it was searched during a probation administrative warrant during an investigation.

Charges include operating or attempting to operate a clandestine laboratory and second-degree conspiracy. Mr. McGinnis was also indicted for possession of drug paraphernalia.
