Hands-on camp at Biggs exposes kids to art possibilities

Posted

The Biggs Museum of American Art gave creativity free rein this week with its ArtVentures Camp: Clay Creations. Youngsters learned how to create sculptures from earthy, muddy and man-made materials. The latter included play dough.

Next week’s camp is Color Explosion and the one for July 27-31 is Swashbuckling Pirates.

Hours for the weeklong camp are 9 a.m. to noon. For prices and more info go to www.biggsmuseum.org or call (302) 674-2111. The Biggs is at 406 Federal St. in Dover.
