DOVER — A Wednesday afternoon police chase left a vehicle disabled and the driver’s whereabouts unknown, authorities said.

At approximately 3 p.m., the black-colored vehicle was seen with three wheels on a sidewalk near the corner of Haslet Street and Plumage Court near the back of the Schoolview neighborhood.

A fourth wheel straddled the curb.

The vehicle was confiscated by police and towed away.

A street sign also appeared to be lying on the ground nearby.

On Facebook, the Dover Police Department described a vehicle pursuit as “brief” and said a man fled after the chase ended.

Police said Damir Hughes Warren is being sought and described him as a light-skinned black male wearing a black T-shirt, tan shorts and black/red sneakers.

As a result of the stop, East Dover Elementary School and Corporate Kids Learning Center were placed on lockdown, authorities said.
