DOVER — Quasan Gregory, a 22-year-old New York City man who was shot in the Capital Green neighborhood early Monday morning, is facing drug and gun charges following the incident, according to Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
Officers responded to Capital Green for a reported shooting at 1:14 Monday morning. When officers arrived in an alley between Sussex Avenue and Collins Drive, they found Mr. Gregory’s vehicle; however, discovered that he had fled to a nearby business.
Master Cpl. Hoffman said police were able to contact Mr. Gregory at the nearby business and he was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for gunshot wounds to the arm, abdomen and leg.
Mr. Gregory’s vehicle was then transported to the Dover Police Department, where a search warrant was obtained after a Dover Police K9 alerted to the presence of drugs inside of it.
A search of the vehicle turned up 65.1 grams of marijuana and a .22 caliber revolver, Master Cpl. Hoffman said.
The Dover police are continuing an investigation into the shooting.
Mr. Gregory, of The Bronx, was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
