DOVER — A man seen on a dashboard camera video being kicked in the head by a Delaware police officer has four arrest warrants pending.
Carl Kanefsky is a spokesman for the state attorney general's office. He confirmed Friday that Middletown police have issued warrants against Lateef Dickerson for separate burglaries on Sept. 16 and 17, and for failure to re-register as a sex offender after changing addresses.
Mr. Kanefsky said Mr. Dickerson also is the subject of a Kent County court warrant for probation violation. And online court records show he's scheduled to be tried on gun-related burglary and theft charges in Maryland in February.
A Kent County jury on Tuesday acquitted Dover police Cpl. Thomas Webster IV of assault. Cpl. Webster was recorded by a dashcam video kicking Mr. Dickerson in the head during an arrest in August 2013.
Cpl. Webster told jurors that he hadn't meant to kick Mr. Dickerson in the head, but was aiming for his upper body.
