Delaware State Police personnel win Public Safety Communication Awards

CHESTER, Md. — Stacey Stover was named Delaware Center Manager of the Year at the 2015 Association of Public Safety Communications Officials Mid-Eastern Chapter’s telecommunications awards ceremony, the Delaware State Police announced.

All awards were announced at an April 10 gathering at the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department.

State police said Ms. Stover, the 911 Public Service Answering Point manager, started her career as a telecommunications specialist in August 1999. She was assigned to Recom, the busiest of all the Delaware State Police Dispatch Centers, according to a news release.

She advanced through the positions of shift supervisor to her current position as PSAP manager, police said.

“Being in this position for a little over (18 months), Stacey has been an integral part of the Communications Section Management Team,” state police said in a news release.

“She has been described as professional, task driven, accessible and proficient which are few of her work habits and traits. Stacey has played a crucial part in the development and implementation process in a Statewide CAD system for the State Police. Stacey has been very proud, dedicated and devoted to her profession.”
