In the early days of his presidency Joe Biden signed many executive orders. Sadly, we know why. He hates Donald Trump and wants nothing more than to totally eviscerate and erase not only his presidential accomplishments but the individual himself. His actions fly in the face of the unity Biden constantly preached during the campaign.
I’ve lost track of the number of radical and outrageous executive orders, but there are a few that totally fly in the face of everything he said about education, unions, economic growth and unity. If you really listened to Joe’s comments during the campaign, you’d realize his campaign was built solely on radical, far-left ideals and not his claim of centrism. The following examples of executive orders are indicative of the strategy he embraces:
- Eliminating the 1776 Commission and its report. President Trump initiated this commission to teach, in a patriotic method, the good and the bad of our American history. With the commission and its report gone, the left can now concentrate on educating our children that the United States is a terrible country that must be changed, as it was built on slavery and racism. The 1619 Project will now be the guiding force in teaching American history to our children.
- Canceling the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline and stopping future drilling on government lands opened up by President Trump. Both of those actions killed good-paying union jobs in the construction, steel worker and refining industries; eliminated tax revenue states would have received; will potentially cause us to lose being energy independent; and guarantees more air pollution. The oil from Canada will still flow but via truck and railway transportation. The possibility of catastrophic accidents with these will make a pipeline leak look like a faucet drip.
- Halting the construction of the border wall. Again, he’s killed good-paying union jobs in the construction and steel worker industry. Additionally, the cancellation of construction contracts could cost taxpayers tens of millions of dollars. What’s more dangerous is the potential for illegal immigrants to cross our border without fear of reprisal. Never mind that over 410,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 and that the state vaccination programs, especially here in Delaware, are in total chaos. Let’s bring in more people with potentially more health concerns. This country cannot become the home for every individual living in unfortunate circumstances.
- Reentry into the Paris climate accords. President Trump got us out of that money-grubbing organization. Now, we will have to abide by their rules and pay their dues. Yet China is the largest producer of pollution in the world. As Joe pushes for solar and wind power, remember where solar panels and wind towers are made — China.
- President Trump’s Senate impeachment trial in early February resulted in acquittal. The House convicted President Trump in about five minutes without any thought to due process. Was the Senate trial constitutional, given that the reason for impeachment is the removal of a president from office? Regardless, the Democrats proceeded and made a mockery of the concept of impeachment, a political process, lessening its meaning as written in the Constitution. Joe and the Democrats need to remember that 75 million Americans voted for Mr. Trump.
I would like to think that Joe Biden is truly our commander in chief. However, when I see him signing executive orders, I notice the individual standing just behind him and to his right, with her arms folded and looking like a schoolteacher making sure you give the correct answer, Kamala Harris is ensuring that Joe signs the documents he was ordered to sign.
