DOVER — A Camden man pleaded guilty to two felonies Tuesday regarding a robbery at a Felton area hotel in September 2016 and was sentenced to prison time served.

Courtney F. Goode Jr., 40 years old at the time of the incident, was convicted on second-degree robbery and second-degree conspiracy counts. Earlier gun charges were not indicted, according to the Delaware Department of Justice.

Goode has been incarcerated since Oct. 31, 2016. Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Clark accepted the plea and issued the sentence.

The Delaware State Police said earlier that two masked men wearing gloves emerged from a bathroom and began assaulting a 24-year-old man after tying his hands and legs to a chair and covering his mouth with tape.

Also, authorities said, the suspects poured a chemical over the man’s head and threatened to set him on fire. They then cut hair from his head, removed money and fled the area.

The victim was later treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
