Bonar tapped for Sports Complex board of Directors

DOVER — By a unanimous vote, Dave Bonar was appointed by the Levy Court Tuesday to serve on the board of directors for the Kent County Regional Sports Complex.

A longtime Dover activist, Mr. Bonar has been mayor, city council president and councilman.

As a member of the board of directors for the Regional Sports Complex, Mr. Bonar will join 18 other members in selecting an executive director and then will help provide oversight in the development and operation of the sports complex.

Mr. Bonar was nominated by Commissioner Allan Angel and confirmed by all other commissioners in attendance.

Of the county’s employees, Commissioner Eric Buckson and County Administrator Mike Petit de Mange also serve on the board.

In other business, Kent County 911 dispatcher Kathryn Ridgeway was recognized as the employee of the month for July.

She has worked in Public Safety for 13 years.

Her superiors recognized her for her positive attitude, proficiency and unparalleled knowledge of emergency response protocol.

New employees are Elizabeth Caufield for the Department of Planning Services and for Public Works Darren Greene and Roxanne Parsons.
