Mr. Hall, a Cleveland, Ohio, native, is best known for his Emmy-winning late night talk show “The Arsenio Hall Show” which ran from 1989 to 1994 and was revived from 2013 to 2014.

During the show’s run, Mr. Hall hosted the television debuts of Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg and Boyz II Men, among others.

Just before the debut of “The Arsenio Hall Show,” he was a co-star in the Eddie Murphy comedy “Coming to America,” which was released in the summer of 1988. Mr. Hall later appeared or contributed to several other films, including “Harlem Nights,” “Blankman,” and “Igor.”

In television, he was a cast member of the CBS drama “Martial Law,” for two seasons starting in 1998 and later was the host of CBS’ updated “Star Search.” In 2012, Mr. Hall was the winner of Season 5 of “Celebrity Apprentice,” the reality show overseen by Donald Trump.

In 2016, he served as host of the BET Honors special, and co-hosted ABC TV's summer music event series "Greatest Hits," produced by Ken Ehrlich. He can now be seen in a cameo role in Adam Sandler's '90s set Netflix comedy film "Sandy Wexler," which debuted April 14.

He can also be heard Monday mornings as co-host of the popular nationally syndicated radio program "The Tom Joyner Morning Show."
