DOVER - Capital School District students said goodbye to summer break as schools opened their doors Monday for the start of another school year. It also was the first day of school for two principals in the Capital district, Julie Giangiulio at East Dover Elementary on South Little Creek Road and Dover High principal Courtney Voshell.
Ms.Giangiulio, who was appointed in July, is starting her first school year as principal in the Capital School District. Before moving to East Dover, she was the principal of West Seaford Elementary School. Ms. Voshell previously was the assistant principal at Dover High.
Classes also began Monday in Smyrna School District. School begins Aug. 31 in most other districts in Central Delaware.
