DOVER — A six-month investigation into alleged drug trafficking in Kent County earlier this year resulted in a 153-count re-indictment involving 18 people, according to court records.

The Superior Court grand jury indictment on Nov. 2 was connected to “Operation Spiritus,” a multi-jurisdictional probe that ran from March to Sept. 9 and concluded with the execution search warrants at 12 different residences throughout Kent County.

Indicted on racketeering charges were:

• Frank R. Lovett, 28, of Greenwood

• Kevin M. McDonald, 41, of Magnolia

• Amanda Pollard, 23, of Magnolia

• Kevin A. McDonald Jr., 22, of Felton

• Taquen G. Owens, 22, of Greenwood

• Gary D. Williams, 25, of Frederica

• Ashley S. Gonzalez, 25, of Harrington

• Abdul T. White. 30, of Dover

Ages and hometowns were listed when the Delaware State Police initially announced arrests in September.

The racketeering count came “while associated with an enterprise consisting of a group of persons who did participate in the conduct of the affairs of the enterprise by engaging in a pattern of racketeering activity,” according to the indictment.

The overall indictment also included a slew of drug dealing counts, second-degree conspiracy, aggravated possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree criminal solicitation, possession of controlled substance, possession of firearm by person prohibited, possession of marijuana and dogfighting, among others.

Police said investigation detected the alleged distribution of more than 1,000 grams of cocaine in six months. Search warrants were executed in Magnolia, Felton, Frederica, Harrington, Greenwood and Milford.

Police alleged that cocaine, heroin and marijuana were seized, along with numerous firearms, assorted ammunition, $42,973 in suspected drug proceeds and two vehicles.

Investigating authorities included the Delaware State Police, Drug Enforcement Administration, Dover and Milford police departments, among others.

Also taking part were the Delaware Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Department of Correction, Kent County SPCA and Code Enforcement, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and city of Harrington Code Enforcement.

Smyrna, Milford and Harrington police departments also were involved, along with probation and parole officers.
