The trooper, properly restrained, was airlifted by Delaware State Police Aviation to Christiana Medical Center where he was admitted with non-life-threatening injuries. He has been released.

The State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate. Alcohol does not appear to be a contributing factor.

Southbound Del. 1 was closed at Exit 104 for four hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
