WWII revived during Delaware Defense Day in Lewes

Smoke billowed from 3-inch cannons, and a World War II-era Sherman tank slowly rolled between lines of spectators.

Plus, a reenactment was staged nearby of the surrender of the German submarine U-858, the first enemy ship to give up to the United States during the war, on May 14, 1945, off the Delaware coast.
