SMYRNA - William R. Bruno of Smyrna passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, in Dover. He was 25.
Mr. Bruno was born Oct. 7, 1981, in Okinawa, Japan, son of Kathy Bruno and Richard Bruno.
He was employed as a cook in various area restaurants.
Mr. Bruno's greatest joy and passion in life was cooking and preparing food for others. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and enjoyed fishing and his cats.
He is survived by his parents, Kathy Bruno of Smyrna and Richard Bruno of LaPlata, Md.; a brother, Austin Bruno of LaPlata; his maternal grandparents, David and Patricia Womelsdorf of Smyrna; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Daisy Bruno of North Carolina; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 22 N. Union St., Smyrna.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to National Alliance on Mental Illness, c/o NAMI Delaware, 2400 W. 4th St., Wilmington, DE 19805-3306; or to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 22 N. Union St., Smyrna, DE 19977.
