William G. Bilbrough Jr., 64

DENTON, Md. - William G. Bilbrough Jr. of Denton went to be with his Lord Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, in Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was 64.

Born in Ridgely, Mr. Bilbrough was the son of the late William Garfield Sr. and Dorothy Leona (Smith) Bilbrough.

Early in his life, he served our country in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Rhode Island.

He was the owner of Bilbrough Electric in Denton, which he founded in 1989.

Mr. Bilbrough was many things to many people.

To many, he was a fair and kind businessman who put people first instead of profit. His workers knew they could come to him for counsel and help any time they needed him.

Talented in many fields, Mr. Bilbrough was an excellent chef, fisherman, crabber and boater.

Traveling was one of his passions, as was golfing with his son, friends and relatives.

Another of Mr. Bilbrough"s many talents was artwork, which his family will always treasure.

One area of his life he treasured deeply was his family, whether it was the role of loving husband to Gail, devoted dad to Chip and Keith, or awesome and caring Pop-Pop to Brian, Luke, Will and Abby.

Of all the areas of his life that truly defined him was his walk with the Lord. That was definitely most precious to him.

Mr. Bilbrough studied the Word, he taught his family the Word and he made Jesus come to life for all who knew him. He lived what he believed.

Mr. Bilbrough was most certainly a man of integrity. For him, to be known as a Christian was a high honor because he exemplified what being Christ-like was all about.

He will be sorely missed by everyone who was privileged enough to have known him.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Bilbrough of Denton; two sons, William G. "Chip" Bilbrough III and Keith Bilbrough Sr. and his wife Lisa, all of Denton; four grandchildren, Brian Jr., Luke G., William IV and Abigail; and many other loving family members.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Friday in the Wesleyan Camp Tabernacle on Camp Road in Denton, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to The Wesleyan Christian School Sports Boosters sent to the William G. Bilbrough Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 118, Denton, MD 21629.

Arrangements by Moore Funeral Home.
