William Emory Vickers

William Emory Vickers, 75

FRANKFORD - William Emory Vickers, of Frankford, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2008, in the Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation Health Center, Millsboro, after a long illness. He was 75.

Mr. Vickers was born Sept. 16, 1932, in Dagsboro, to the late John William and Lena Mae Timmons Vickers.

He worked in delivery for the Pep-Up Oil Co. for more than 29 years.

He was an active member for many years of the Dagsboro Church of God. Mr. Vickers really enjoyed the fellowship within the church. He loved to play his guitar and sing in the church choir.

He loved his garden in the summertime.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Ernestine Kirby Vickers, in 1994.

Mr. Vickers is survived by his brother, Donaway "Dee" Vickers and his wife Bessie Anne of Frankford; one nephew, William Dee Vickers and his wife, Michelle, and their children, Miranda and David; and one niece, Deanna Mae Price and her husband, Darrin, and their children, Ryan and Madison.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour before the service.

Friends may also call at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Pastor Kim Tephabock will officiate the service.

Interment will be in Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery.
