William E. Munnis

William E. Munnis, 74

REHOBOTH BEACH - William E. Munnis of Rehoboth Beach passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 74.

He was born June 26, 1932, in Philadelphia, son of the late William E. and Martha (Haggerty) Munnis.

Mr. Munnis was a drummer in the Ulster Scottish Pipe Band and the Washington Memorial Pipe Band.

He was a past member of the British Legion, and also an avid fisherman.

Mr. Munnis served honorably with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sally Anne (McFall) Munnis; two daughters, Elaine Junod and her husband Dr. John of Doylestown, Pa., and Diane Bresser and her husband Robin of Hatfield, Pa.; three sons, Andrew Redmond and his wife Jodi of Philadelphia, Philip Redmond and his wife Beverly of Rehoboth Beach, and Timothy Redmond and his wife Kimberly of Enterprise, Ala.; six grandchildren; a sister, Betty Gould of Florida; and a brother, Jack Munnis, also of Florida.

A celebration of Bill"s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 1151 Walker Road, Suite 202, Dover, DE 19901; or to Disabled American Vets, 183 South St., Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

McCall Sr., 77

FELTON - Earl Roy McCall Sr. of Felton died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 77.

He was born Nov. 2, 1929, in Washington County, Va., son of the late William and Irene (Watson) McCall.

Earl served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for four years.

He worked for civil service at Dover Air Force Base in radar and navigate repair. He retired in 1987. After retirement, he did electronic repairs.

Earl was a member of the Woodside United Methodist Church, and enjoyed singing in the choir and playing his guitar. He also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally, on Feb. 3, 2005; and a sister, Virginia Gray.

He is survived by his children, Katherine Pierce and her husband Wayne of Crownsville, Md., Nancy "Holly" McCall of Bear, Earl R. McCall Jr. and his wife Katherine of Canterbury, and Judith Culleney and her husband Roy of Bear; two brothers, William McCall of Abingdon, Va., and James McCall of Mobile, Ala.; five sisters, Mary Mitchell of Abingdon, Va., Edith Brown of Sun City, Ariz., Ruth Tillison of Bristol, Tenn., Ester Rhodes of Brooksville, Fla., and Ann Snapp of Bristol; and eight grandchildren, Kimbrey Pierce, Katie Pierce, Bryan Pierce, Valerie McCall, Grace McCall, Lauren McCall, Bria Culleney and Christopher Culleney.

Services will be noon Saturday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour before services.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
