SMYRNA - William C. Greene of Smyrna died Sunday, July 15, 2007, in Christiana Hospital, Newark. He was 44.
Mr. Greene was born July 2, 1963, in Bloomsburg, Pa., son of the late Richard and Armona Gehret Greene.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2002 after 21 years of exemplary service, having served in Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
Mr. Greene enjoyed golf, NASCAR, and he loved to cook and grill.
He was a member of Capitol Baptist Church in Dover.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Dawn Marie Greene; three children, Justin G. Greene and Nicholas P. "Nick" Greene of Laurel Springs, N.J., and 5-week-old Britton Carleah Greene of Dover; two sisters, Lisa A. Santiago of North Carolina and Kathy S. Foster of Glen Allen, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007, in Capitol Baptist Church, 401 Kesselring Ave., Dover.
