William Bontrager

DOVER - William Bontrager passed away, Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at Kent General Hospital.
Mr. Bontrager was born Jan. 27, 1957, in Cecil County, Md., to the late Samuel E. Bontrager and Tillie Yoder Bontrager.
He was a loving father, farmer, general contractor, and an independent business owner. Willie was a founding member of the Maranatha Fellowship Church on Deer Track Lane, Dover. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and adopted grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Cora Bontrager, Sovilla Lee, Edna Beachy.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Fern Byler Bontrager of Dover; children, William Eugene Bontrager, Jesse Ryan Bontrager, Patricia Lynn Bontrager and fiancé, Eric Tice, all of Dover, Anthony Joel and Ruth Bontrager, of Frederica, and Abigail Bontrager, of Dover; siblings, Enos and Susanne Bontrager, of Still Pond, Md., Anna and Gene Bowman, of Baltimore, Md., Fred Bontrager and Evon Thornton, of Chestertown, Md., and Vernon Bontrager, of Still Pond, Md.; brother-in-law, Earnest Lee, of Virginia.
Funeral services will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at the Calvary Baptist Church, Victory Chapel Rd. and Rt. 8, Dover. A viewing will be held Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. at the Maranatha Fellowship Church, 60 Deer Track Lane, Dover. He will be laid to rest with his mother father and sister, Cora, at Harmony Church .
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Maranatha Fellowship Church, 60 Deer Track Lane, Dover, DE 19904, earmarked for a children's playground.
