GEORGETOWN - Wayne Leonard Williams Sr. of Georgetown died suddenly Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 53.
Mr. Williams was born Sept. 9, 1954, in Baltimore, son of John Carter Williams of Milton and the late Dolores R. Williams.
At the time of his death, he was employed at I.G. Burton of Seaford as a service manager.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
Mr. Williams also was a former high school lacrosse coach in Minnetonka, Minn.
He is survived by his father, John Carter Williams of Milton; two sons, Christopher Williams of Bristol, Va., and Wayne L. Williams Jr. of Harbeson; a daughter, Heather Williams of Glen Burnie, Md.; a granddaughter, Hailey Diana Furniss of Glen Burnie; his companion, Mary Reidhead of Georgetown; his stepmother, Dolores H. Williams of Milton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Phyllis A. Williams of Fairfax, Va., and Jacqueline L. and William Bryley of Pasadena, Md.; three nephews; and a niece.
Services and burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association (Heart Disease Prevention), 1151 Walker Road, Suite 202, Dover, DE 19901.
