Wayne Edwin Stidham, 78

OCEAN VIEW - Wayne Edwin Stidham of Ocean View died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 78.

Mr. Stidham was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late Hubert and Mollie (Keibler) Stidham.

He served with the U.S. Navy in World War II and Korea.

He was a brakeman for the Patapsco Back River Railroad of Baltimore with 25 years of service.

Mr. Stidham was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6694 of Dundalk, Md., and Post 8296 of Ocean City, Md.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Wanda F. Stidham; a son, Kelly Stidham; two daughters, Marsha Stidham and Laura Stidham; two grandchildren, Mark Nagle and Carly Wines; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Bethany Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, West Avenue, Ocean View.

Burial will follow at 1:15 p.m. in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, Southern Division, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947; or Disable American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 42550.
