GREENSBORO, Md. - Wayne Douglas Mullen of Greensboro died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, at his home. He was 60.
Mr. Mullen was born April 23, 1947, in Baltimore, son of the late William John Mullen and Helen A. (Bell) Mullen of Glen Burnie.
He was a 1967 graduate of Southern High School.
Mr. Mullen was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the USS Myles C. Fox Destroyer during the Vietnam era.
He moved to the Eastern Shore in 1977.
Mr. Mullen was a mason by trade, working for the B&C Union Local 1 of Delaware and Pennsylvania.
He was a member of American Legion Post 29 and the Tin Can Soldiers.
Mr. Mullen raised homing and roller pigeons as a hobby.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharon (Connelly) Mullen of Greensboro; two sons, Jason and his wife Laurie Mullen of Milford, Del., and Josh and his wife Charity Mullen of Greensboro; three sisters, Colleen Mullen of Glen Burnie, Debbie Madison of Soldotna, Alaska, and Helen Mullen of Glen Burnie; and three grandchildren, Josh Jr., Joel and Destiny.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro.
